Your first lesson is FREE!
WHAT TO EXPECT:

Please arrive 15-20 before the start of your first practice

Skates and helmets are provided
-
You will be grouped with others with similar ablitiy level
-
Coaches will teach you proper technique
WHAT TO WEAR
-
Long sleeves and long pants are REQUIRED! Recommended items include:

Light jacket or sweatshirt
-
Cycling/athletic pant
-
Full-finger gloves
-
Cycling/sport helmet
-
Knee pads / wrist guards are optional

A TYPICAL PRACTICE:

Warm-Up - 15- 20 Minutes

Big, slow laps​

Skills Groups
-
Group 1 - Fast Skaters​

Group 2 - Medium Skaters
-
Group 3 - Slower/New Skaters

Removal of Pads
SAFETY:
-
Skate ONLY in a counter-clockwise direction
-
Stay in the center of the ice until your group is called onto the track
-
Return to the center of the ice when the next group is called
-
Always skate your track - do not move if skaters are passing you - they will go around you
-
DO NOT exit the ice when skaters are skating on the track - it is expected skaters will stay on the ice for the entire practice

Look over your shoulder when leaving the track to make sure no one is coming up behind you

Ask other skaters if you have questions

Children: No horseplay or tag is allowed
