Our Club Is a Non-Profit Organization

 

WMSC has a "501 (C) (3) Tax-Exempt Status" from the IRS, so any contributions are tax deductible to a business or individual. If you would like to help skaters achieve their goals while earning tax deductions, please e-mail or call us! (click the "Mail" icon below). 

Our club has produced some of the best skaters in the country who have been and are now State champions, National champions and are members of the United States National and World teams and have been on the U.S. Olympic team. We also provide community members of all ages from little children to senior citizens with a excellent sport for life. Our help has been extended to the Special Olympics to teach some of their athletes to speedskate.
Funds are well used and much needed in this highly exciting and sportsmanship-oriented amature sport! As you can see below, we have a rather small number of sponsors. The help of each one goes a long way (this is a successful club), but we could use the help of more businesses to do even more. 
WMSC has a yearly ice budget of about $25,000 that comes out of the pockets of the skaters and is supplemented by a few low grossing fund raisers. If numbers or attendance goes down then the burden gets bigger and in turn affect membership.
